Symons Valley Ranch Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and bright individual who is eager to learn, independent, and motivated. This individual will work collaboratively with the President, and Property Manager to operate a unique retail establishment.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Exceptional people skills with strong ability to communicate, listen and work with a large variety of personalities and styles (courteous and even-tempered)
  • Organized, self-motivated, and creative
  • Independent and able to navigate a shifting environment
  • Strong abilities in marketing and networking including social media management, some media relations and web design/management
  • Experience in general business including accounting and marketing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Punctual, meticulous and reliable
  • Some retail experience preferred

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and a highly motivated person. Advanced organization skills are a must, along with the ability and willingness to learn new skills.


Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

Retailer Relations/Communications

  • maintain regular communication and relationship with market retailers
  • design, write and deliver regular market newsletters
  • relay retailer concerns to management and management news to retailers
  • coordinate individual and collective retailer meetings as required
  • assist with design and implementation of retailer appreciation and social events
  • work towards instilling positive, helpful, action-oriented culture

Marketing Strategy Support and Public Relations

  • coordinate production and dissemination of marketing material
  • coordinate marketing committee meetings
  • help create, implement and advertise events to support marketing strategy
  • help redesign and regularly update webpage
  • help schedule and organize demo kitchen
  • support social media efforts by facilitating communication
  • create relationship with local media and seek opportunity for market contribution to editorial/content
  • write and disseminate PSAs and news releases to generate media interest in market activities

Administrative Support

  • schedule buskers
  • help schedule, coordinate and welcome temporary retailers
  • help schedule and coordinate public/community participation (PAWS, Brownie cookie sales, fundraisers…)
  • handle general market email
  • answer market phone and respond to voicemail messages(possibly RV Park and Storage also)
  • help organize, schedule Christmas market and summer market
  • support maintenance staff and restaurant as required
  • help organize and maintain market files and market documentation


Salary will be negotiable and based on qualifications. This role is open to Full-time candidates. Workweeks are 40 hours per week; Wednesday to Sunday
