Their Land Development/Municipal Group provides a wide range of services for land development and municipal sectors across Western Canada. By working in conjunction with Transportation, Facilities Engineering and/or Geomatics, this group offers innovative solutions to their clients with seamless, one-point-of-contact project management.
They are looking for a strategic Project Manager who is will bring his/her technical and managerial leadership as well as responsive client management to their existing and future projects.
As the Branch Manager you will be responsible for actively growing the business within your region as well as developing and leading a support team to produce high-quality engineering designs for land development and municipal engineering projects.
Manage the quality of service in the land development engineering business within the branch office ensuring technical and financial oversight of project as well as proactive management of existing clients and the identification of new business opportunities
Apply sound technical knowledge and business acumen to ensure that the highest industry standards are achieved and client expectations are met or exceeded
Have direct responsibility for project gross margin, staff utilization, supervisory and project management responsibilities
Assist with the development of workforce plans
Collaborate with business development opportunities in the land development sector and in partnership with internal and external business units
Promote an environment and culture that aligns to our clients Core Values by communicating corporate, business unit and regional goals to all employees to ensure that quality standards established by our client or by industry practices are followed for work undertaken in the Region
Our successful candidate will have an engineering degree; APEGBC registered or eligible for registration.
We are looking for a candidate who has worked on a variety of projects, ranging from residential and commercial/industrial subdivisions to municipal infrastructure; ideally you will have at least 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager with 5 years in a leadership role. In addition you will also have:
A solid reputation for providing service excellence and building and maintaining client relationships
Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to lead large groups of multidisciplinary professionals
Exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills essential for optimum performance for both managerial and technical accountabilities of this position
