Providing the upmost customer service for at&t customers bill payments, upgrades, plan changes, etc. I learned how to multi task more efficiently than before. Working with Sutherland Global Services was fun. It's my first time in a call center industry. At first, I have difficulty in adjusting myself on my working schedule, since we always had a graveyard shift schedule. But as the days passed by, I started loving to work at night. Overall, the management is impressive and excellent. Every on-the-job training student is oblige to speak English especially when talking to the HR's. not just OJT's but also the employees. It's really good because it can let you exercise your tongue through speaking English. It's not the job that is hard for me but the fact that I am in graveyard shift.

The managers have a severe lack of knowledge and are very unprofessional to say the least. The company is poorly run and lacks job security. There is no structure and they run around like chickens with their heads cut off. The co workers are like kids on a play ground. This is not a place for any mature adults. The helath insurance is the same as you – more... would pay out of pocket if you were to get health insurance for yourself. They constantly have system issues and will try to make it seem as if the problem is with you and not their system instead of accepting responsibility for their cheaply installed equipment. and far too small server. – less

Working in a call center environment very fast pace insurance company, one out of several different insurance companies. Great experience learning and gaining knowledge. Switching of management every couple of months was a set back and no consistent organization and lack of individual agents performance logs. The co workers were great but you learn – more... to grow with all due to the amount of your life you spend with them. Working with a team can be great but you all have to work to gather for a smooth flow, it was hard due to the changes every month and some were not giving until an event came across.It was a great company i wrote policies for Sutherland was a 3rd party company. The hardest part to deal with the company was to chase down money owed for months. It was an experience! – less

Cons: little training and support
I was hired for an at home position to handle calls for FTD.com during Valentine's season. Training was unstructured with constant interruptions and very little time. At first it was supposed to be from 9am to 6pm EST, but the first three days were only 3 hrs. due to them not being ready with available staff. The next week we went to the 9-6 schedule – more... with just the one week of training. When it came time to take over on phones I was totally unprepared and support via chat was horrible. When I was finally able to get someone's attention, I was basically told to tell the customer that they had to pay again for their order even though the issue was our fault. Horrible customer service! I couldn't work there. Even though I completed training without missing a single day or being late at all, I still did not receive the bonus promised upon hire. – less

Cons: frequent changes of sales quotas for the client
A typical day for me consisted of answering incoming phone calls from customers and potential customers. I learned to navigate through multiple computer system, upgrades services, prorate billing invoices, and retain customers. Management was very helpful, they were always willing to coach the employees to make call better between the representative – more... and their customers. My co workers were just as helpful and always positive. The hardest part of this job was keeping up with the high demand for the client and their sales quota. The most enjoyable was speaking the my customers and knowing the at the end of the call their needs were met. – less
