The Domestic Violence Outreach Coordinator works one on one with women in crisis, as well as with community partners to deliver programming that is aimed at ending violence within our community.
A Bachelor Degree in related field required. As well as 5 years’ experience working with women in crisis.
Knowledge of existing community resources in the area an asset.
Program delivery, strong group facilitation skills and experience.
Community development skills and experience in the non-profit sector an asset.
Strong communication skills written and verbal as well as strong computer skills essential.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a group and follow direction without difficulty is a requirement.
Strong time management skills in all aspects of the position.
Require reliable vehicle, as well as ability to participate in overnight travel as required for provincially based meetings.
Bilingual French/ English an asset.
Fund raising and proposal writing required.
Candidate must be available to begin work and be prepared to travel on Oct 1st.
This is a contract 6 month position.
October 2012 through March 2013.
