The Supply Chain Management Association Alberta (SCMA AB) is a registered not-for-profit professional association, providing information and education, leading to a professional designation as a SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) or a Supply Management Training Diploma. Professional Development Seminars are also offered to the general Supply Chain Community.
SCMA Alberta provides comprehensive educational and membership programs designed to help members enhance their skills and broaden their networking opportunities. Membership is open to anyone working in the purchasing, logistics and supply chain management fields. Our members are professionals employed in the field; individuals working on cross-functional teams with supply chain management professionals and students with an interest in achieving a career in supply chain management.
SCMA Alberta is looking for a Reception Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time position. Salary will be based on a 35 hour work week (Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm). Salary range: $35,000 - $40,000 per year with above average benefits package. The position is expected to start mid-January 2014.
Under the direction of the Management team at the Supply Chain Management Association Alberta this skilled and motivated person will perform various administrative activities related to SCMA AB including:

 Database data entry for students and new member applications and compilation of statistics and reports. Familiarity with database management and MS Excel required.
 Welcome and respond to inquiries at reception.
 Answer main phone responding to inquiries and redirecting calls as required.
 Responsible for receiving and sending incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipping.
 Responsible for general office email, responding to inquiries and redirecting messages.
 Tracking and re-order of office supplies.
 Assist Executive Director and Managers with administrative projects.


 Strong people skills and a firm commitment to customer service.
 Proficiency in various computer software including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel need to be very experienced) and database management. Applicants may be tested.
 Effective oral and written communication skills.
 Strong organizational skills.
 Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
 Ability to work well as part of a team.
 Education in Business Administration.
 Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position.
