The primary responsibility of this individual will be to manage customer accounts, in order to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of customer product. This position will be responsible for a high level of customer service and providing creative transportation solutions.


The successful individual will:

  • Work with customers to provide transportation solutions
  • Deal with primarily LTL/TL carriers, Intermodel
  • Follow up on transportation arrangements
  • Track shipments and problem solve
  • Ensure proper paperwork is completed in all cases
  • Provide customer quotations
  • Handle and remedy any service failures
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Be engaged in extensive phone work
  • Detailed information regarding load notes and carrier specifications


  • Knowledge of payout rates to carriers by pallets, footage and per hundred weight
  • Strong knowledge of LTL and FTL carrier base for domestic and cross border movements
  • Strong knowledge of worldwide geography
  • Expand agent networks in North America
  • Strong familiarity with customs procedures related to trucking movements such as clearances and bonds
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be able to work in a team oriented environment
  • Should be personable and able to develop top notch relationships with customers/carriers and agents
  • Computer literacy
  • Handling rate requests both on a spot quote and researched basis
  • MINIMUM 1 - 3 years experience in Logistics Operations and Intermodel -Rail Transportation
  • Heavy rail freight experience
  • Goal driven with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail and follow through skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed performance goals
  • Strong administrative, analytical, oral/written communication, interpersonal, time management, organizational, problem solving, and presentation skills
