Horrible place to work, Burlington, Ontario...Bad pay, short 3 hour shifts, when hired for part-time they neglect to acknowledge the benefits that your entitled to.
Managers act fake, and don't really care about you..
Stay away!!!

Nice place to work. Most co-workers are nice. Most mangers are nice. Sometimes it's "cliquey" but otherwise not a bad place to work. Lots of OT sometimes hard to get time off.

I am looking for a company that I can grow with and that change is OK. I found that my previous employer did not adapt well to change.

Great place to work, if you enjoy caring for the elderly. Fun and homey environment. The most enjoyable part of the job is learning and connecting with the elderly. Important to remember that not everyone shares the same passion for caring for others.

My experience was difficult, disappointing and unacceptable as a professional. It's unfortunate that management is not opening their eyes to the real issues in this community. Poor management, lack of leadership,poor communication, lack of integrity and honesty in the management team, Over promising and under delivering to the families looking for quality care for their loved ones, Promising core values and principles of service that are not practiced, Putting on a show for upper managment when they visit, which does not depict a true picture of how things are on a day to day basis, Very poor morale and employees are afraid to speak up about their concerns out of fear of reprisal or retaliation from those in charge. – less

Before the break of dawn I am up and ready to go and get my residents off with a good start. Smile on my face I walk in to the facility with a positive attitude and my day gets better from there. Helping my residents with their activities of daily living (grooming, dressing, and showers) and making sure they are down to breakfast on time, is sometimes – more... a challenge, but I accept it and complete my tasks with proficiency and focusing on the residents needs so they don't feel rushed. I've learned you need to be able to work in a team, but also rely on yourself and your own abilities and always leave room for improvement. The most enjoyable part is knowing that the residents truly enjoy the time and effort you take to care for them and the bond you make with them and their families. This job is an okay job but there isn't much room for advancement.

Sunrise in Katy, TX has been advertising for employment opportunities for over 2 years and hasn't hired anyone yet. They just gather people for group interviews, use the unsuspecting applicants for ideas and success stories, dismiss everyone and probably implement the stolen concepts. Do not waste your time or give away your creative ideas.

Sunrise is a good company to work for depending on the location. they offer great benefits an some of the workers are team players so it makes your day go by smoothly. But there are always changes and i like my work place to have stability.

I believe that this organization is great with it's residents and I enjoy working there.. I am however looking for job secirity and better wages

A typical day at work would be caring for the residents, dietary, and activities. I learned that activities are important to the residents. I had a good co-workers. The hardest part of the job was when a resident passed away. The most enjoyable part of the job was making milkshakes at the Bistro for the residents.

The residents are the best but they care more about image then they do there employees. Management sucks they will fire those work that break they back and praise the lazy ones. Well they have there favorites. Will lie to cover there buts and expect you to find people to work when you need days off and you are the only one in your department that work – more... every weekend – less

residence and employees are good to work with there is a lot of rushing in the morning and the end of the day. The hardest part is coming in at six o'clock and have all the residences down at breakfast by 8:30 as required by management.

It is a great place and everyone is family. I have been there for seven years and was able to grow as far as i wanted.

work at Sunrise was a blessing to give back to the senior ,i leanred that is hard work ,management was a great team to work with nand the coworker to.the hardest part was to see them die,the most enjoyable part with to know that was a part of they life at the end

This place is just bad. They will not grant you days off when you need them. They recently decided to make people work weekends when they weren't hired to do so. They mandate housekeepers to work on Mondays and Fridays and only start you out at 8.10 an hour and are months late with your review.
