Community Program Coordinator (Military Family Resource Centre-MFRC)

Working under the direct guidance of the Executive Director, you’ll coordinate adult programming, outreach visits, media relations and fundraising events. The ability to network and promote the centre is essential. You’ll have excellent organizational awareness, understanding how to get a range of accurate information and who to keep informed. You will source facilitators/facilities and engage the community to create awareness for adult programming. You’ll ensure that facilitator and facility contracts are completed as per organizational protocol, as well as maintain accurate files and statistics. You will meet with military families, promoting MFRC services and programs. You will participate in radio interviews and facilitate program information sessions to small and large audiences. You will actively participate in the planning and execution of fundraising events including out of hours events. This position is full time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm.
What we are looking for:
You’ll have an outgoing, personable and vibrant personality. You’ll have experience developing, implementing and facilitating various adult programs and activities, both educational and interest based. You’ll have strong administrative skills and be highly computer literate. Attention to detail, as well as budgeting and the ability to work with others in a team setting are essential. You’ll have excellent written and spoken English abilities. Knowledge of MFRC’s and local resources/services is highly desirable.
You will have a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, Public Relations or other related field, with a minimum of two years employment experience in a related role.
