The Sudbury Catholic District School Board is seeking an outstanding Catholic educator to lead its fifteen elementary schools, two grades 7 to 12 schools, two high schools, an adult education centre, an outdoor education centre, 720 full and part-time staff, and an annual budget approaching $71 million.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Director of Education will have a contemporary knowledge of the current key issues in Catholic education, has led a family of schools, and has held a central office responsibility involving: curriculum and program delivery; budget management; and collective bargaining issues.
The Director will have an executive presence and strong analytical capabilities. He or she will possess the ability to work effectively at the Board level, with all staff, within the Greater Sudbury community and the Province of Ontario in order to implement system-wide actionable plans to achieve the strategic goals and directions of the SCDSB.
To achieve the Vision, Mission, and strategic goals and directions, we seek an individual with the knowledge and ability to align his or her leadership style with best practices, such as what is contained in the Ontario Leadership Framework 2012.
