Sales Associate & Cashier (Former Employee), Coquitlam, BCMay 8, 2014
I learned how the retails industry functions on a daily basis.
The hardest part was that there were too much drama and there were no organization within the company especially when it comes to training new workers.

Pros: loving employee's
Cons: not enough hours given
Coming into work is always welcoming between employee's. They always made me feel comfortable and kept me on track on any updates there have been in the store. I learned many skills such as how to use the cash register and how to organize important documents when closing the store. The hardest part of the job was to keep an attentive eye on any lost – more... merchandise. But the most enjoyable part of the job was just making new friends and talking to costumers, making them feel comfortable shopping in our store. – less

Productive and fun workplace at Stitches
Retail Assistant (Current Employee), Scarborough, OntarioMay 3, 2014
I love working at stitches, I have learned a lot about working as a team and dealing with various types of customers. A typical day would include managing my area in the store, making sure it was presentable. My manager is amazing, very kind and great with the work team and employees. My coworkers are very friendly, outgoing team who will always assist – more... one another and the customers. The hardest part of the job was dealing with rude customers, and having to clean up their mess. – less

Pros: folding experience
I enjoyed my work experience at stitches,I've had so much working there the environment was a wonderful place. My typical day would consist of myself interacting and helping customers and working on organizing the stock and cleaning. My co-workers were very friendly and helped me a lot in this job.I did not find any hard part about the job except when – more... there isn't much customers and when the stock isn't here that is when it gets difficult but we find things to do regardless. The most enjoyable part of working at Stitches was getting to interact and help the customers find what they need.Personally I love interacting with people so i was a marvelous experience to have hands on doing that. – less

Work would usually consist of communicating with customers and ensuring their needs are met. Also ensuring our store needs are met with maintenance and stocks are reshelved.

Pros: amazing team
Cons: rude customers
It's always fun to work at Stitches, the whole team makes me feel like family. I love how everyone is such a great team player, always helping people find things, getting them a change room, or even ringing them through the cash register. I honestly love my job at stitches!

Pros: dicounts
Cons: low wage
Friendly staff, and customers, easy going management. Everyone was happy to be there. I learnt how to put clothing away and more organizing skills. Everyone had their own task to do all day. Most enjoyable part and still is working with the best manager.

Sales (Current Employee), Abbotsford, BCNovember 18, 2013
Pros: the people i worked with, helping others, good communication
Cons: not enough hours
Sign in a the computer, read any and all updates and memos from head office and store management. Cleaned store, and restocked before store opening. Always on feet, stocking, getting clothing items down for customers. Answering any and all questions customers might have about merchandise, policies, and outfits. Management at Stitches Abbotsford is outstanding. – more... The assistant managers are just are great, they are easy to talk to and let you know if you need any improvement. The hardest part of the job was remembering all the codes for different items. The most enjoyable part about working at Stitches was helping people. To have them leave satisfied and having a lot of those customers return. – less

The Stitches Work Environment
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Vaughan, ONMay 24, 2013
Pros: working with different knids of personalities (co workers)
Cons: irrational customers
A typical day at stitches; interacting with customers, stocking new merchandise, there was always a positive and welcoming atmosphere, continuously learning about the company and their products. The management team always encouraged the employees to work hard and made us feel like we were a part of a team when making decisions. The majority of my previous – more... coworkers brought positive energy to the workplace. I would say the hardest part of the job would have to be encountering the few ignorant and irrational customers, other than that the job was a breeze. What I most enjoyed about working at stitches was working with my coworkers on the holiday hours. – less

Pros: great atmosphere, friendly co-workers
I was on a volunteer experience here, it was very fun while it lasted. I enjoyed working with my co-workers and the manager was very kind. I loved helping the customers find items of clothing, or helping them pick out an outfit. Always made my day that much better!
