Steve Nash Fitness World & Sports Club currently owns and operates a chain of 18 health and fitness facilities and is looking to further expand and grow its business here in the lower mainland.
Our Company is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our HR/Payroll team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position will be responsible for preparing, processing and administering the semi-monthly full-cycle payroll, commissions and benefit programs for salary and hourly employees.
Salary and benefits will be competitive.

-Manage a full-cycle, semi-monthly payroll for head office and club employees through Kronos and ADP
-Improve and streamline the onboarding and terminations of employees
-Administer the company benefit plan
-Provide support to employees for all payroll and benefits related matters
-Reconcile general ledger accounts, benefit reconciliations, receiver general and other payroll related accounts, and year end processes including T-4’s
-Maintain Canadian compliance regarding Canadian legislation policies, procedures, CRA and HRDC mandates
-Create, maintain and update documentation relating to payroll processes and procedures
-A minimum of 2 -4 years’ experience in a payroll supervisory position. PCP or CPM designation required
-Strong working knowledge of payroll, labour and tax legislation and ability to research and keep up to date with changes
-Enrolment and/or completion of College level courses in accounting would be an asset
-Intermediate to advanced skills in Word and Excel
-Ability to maintain accurate and detailed payroll records
-Strong relationship-building ability, proactive, results-oriented and resourceful
-Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail
-Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task work activities
-Exhibits a high level of professionalism (tact, diplomacy, maintain confidentiality) and excellent interpersonal skills
