This is a newly created position which encompasses logistics and purchase order management. This individual will have close contact with all factories, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other internal and external personnel relating to pending purchase orders and delivery requests.
Duties include but are not limited to:
-The Logistics Clerk is responsible for ensuring the tracking of inventory and provides administrative support to the Sales Department.
Data entry and tracking of inventory movement in our computer system.
Entry of purchase orders in our accounting systems.
Ensure administrative support for logistics and transportation functions, as needed.
Liaising closely with Distribution and Customer Service on a regular basis to resolve any issues in order to ensure efficient asset utilization, schedule quality and customer service.
Other related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
2 years + experience as a logistics coordinator.
Excellent skills with numbers and strong sense of logic.
Experience in the Retail industry preferable.
Strong analytical ability in computer applications.
Strong organizational skills.
Detail-oriented, assertive and able to work in a multi-task, fast paced-environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel;
Ability to read, write, and understand French and English.
