Implements and maintains a structured setting that fosters the development of an appropriate level of personal and social functioning for each resident. Is an effective and appropriate role model for each resident to utilize his/her growth. Works effectively with other members of the team in providing therapeutic milieu. Participates actively in supervisory meetings, team meetings, retreats, planning sessions, and designated in-service training. Maintains appropriate records and is responsible for a variety of therapeutic responsibilities for particular young people and their families including attendance and intervention at case conferences, consultations, school meeting, medical and legal appointments, family meetings and related case management. Maintains the upkeep of the home and ensure the provision of a program that fits the requirements of the Licensing Department. Is responsible for a variety of tasks associated wtih program functioning including meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of young people. Execute other responsibilities not limited to participating in community events, fundraising and other responsibilities.
A Diploma/Undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work with minimum of one year of experience. A combination of training and experience will be considered. Experience working with youth (high risk) is preferred.
