A Fund Development Officer is required on a part-time, contract basis.
The candidate should have a background in Fund Development as prospecting, sponsorship development and implementing Fund Development initiatives will be the primary responsibilities of the position. The ideal candidate would be a member of good standing with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, be well connected within the community and the business sector. It goes without saying the FDO must be a communications wizard, be highly creative and possess a real passion for working with youth. The ideal candidate should have excellent planning and project management skills, be responsible for research and prospecting; identifying and cultivating donor prospects, ensuring proper financial stewardship are maintained with the non profit agency according to their policies and practices. There are also the administration skills necessary to carry out these responsibilities which include operating a mobile office, data and file management
