Employment Opportunity: Position: Child and Youth Care Workers Available Position: 2 Terms of Employment: Relief Positions (Part Time/Relief Staff) Evening, On-Call, Weekend, Day Salary Scale: $16.00 per hour Qualifications: 2 years Post Secondary Education in Child and Youth Care or Equivalent Must have a vehicle and a valid Alberta Driver's License 2 Years experience in Child and Youth Care or equivalent experience in Human Services Field Must have current clear criminal record chheck and child welfare records check. Must have current First Aid and CPR, Suicide Intervention, Non-Violence Crisic Intervention, Medication Administration Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Creative problem solver and team player Ability to work independently Ability to develop household recreation and community access programs for youths. Mst be attentive to detail and organizational skills Ability to evaluate the needs of clients, developing service plans and other reports. Ability to facilitate family contacts and home visits. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Capable of working in a fast paced environment Capable and willing to perform light household chores Capable and willing to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends and On-call. Capable of multi-tasking Can work with little or no supervision Able to meet deadlines Must have computer skills Capable and willing to work with clients who are involved in Children Services Capable of advocating for the Clients Capable of providing community resources Must provide updated Driving Abstract Working Conditions: Shifts: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; or 3:00 p.m.- 11:00p.m. or 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. or 11 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. (week days); 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (weekend ends).
