Our agency is opening in November 2013 and the desired start date for this position is right away.
Duties include but not limited to the following:
Calculate premiums, applicable discounts and other payments for products and services
Prepare forms, applications, agreements and other paperwork to complete sales-related efforts and ensure policy requirements are fulfilled
Before and after sales services

Explain payment method options to customers.
Submit forms to underwriter to obtain coverage .
Engage customers and build rapport .
Explain features, benefits and drawbacks of specific insurance and/or financial products .
Attend agent team member training sessions, seminars and other programs to learn about new products and services and to acquire new skills .
Handle policy changes and update customer/household information .
Contact leads to inform them of products offered and to schedule appointments .
Send documents or other information to customers, operations center, underwriters, etc; using computer, mail or fax .

The ideal candidate is:
Insurance background an asset but not mandatory .
Life, A&S, and General License is an asset but not mandatory .
Ethical and Honest .
Must have applicable license or must obtain applicable licensing requirements.
Communication skills - written, verbal and listening .
Excellent interpersonal skills .

Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs .

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent in Mckenzie Towne, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.\

As we officially open our doors to the public on November 1st 2013, from now to Oct 31st, 2013, you will be expected to complete online trainings and studies and assist with the preparation of the opening of the office.

Compensation includes a very competitive base salary plus production based incentive plan.
