Summary

Respond to our customers in a professional and courteous manner. Resolve problems and enter on-line orders. Use accepted Staples practices to ensure the delivery of outstanding service to all of our customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Provide delivery and order status information to customers
Use in-depth product knowledge to provide pricing and availability information
Educate end users on specific corporate requirements and procedures
Respond quickly to internal/external customer requests and demonstrate excellent follow up
Provide speedy and thorough resolution via phone or e-mail to Electronic Commerce Customer issues and problems within a specified timeframe
Communicate to team members and customer service management all and any updates and pertinent customer information
Record all phone calls in customer logs to ensure proper and accurate information is available to all associates
Process customer orders accurately
Maintain accurate and updated information for customer accounts
Edit customer orders to ensure accuracy
Working knowledge of how specials, returns, self-registration and administrative functions are processed via Staples system in order to resolve customer issues
Respond to technical support and customer service calls generated from Staples’ website
Communicate with Corporate IS Support Centre to resolve customers’ technical issues
Place orders for special orders for items that cannot be placed on Staples’ website
Utilize Staples support page to determine if accounts are in test mode or holding for internal approval
Assist customers in gaining access to website·
Additional duties as assigned
BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years experience with customer service and dealing with customer complaints
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Professional and courteous manner
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Proficient typing skills; familiar with Windows environment
Team player
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Self motivated
Start Date: Monday, September 22, 2014

Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:30 pm - 9 pm
