Stantec's office in Red Deer is currently seeking an Intermediate /Senior Buildings Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and execution of projects with a diverse spectrum ranging in size and complexity, mainly in the commercial and light industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited university
Professional Engineering designation with APEGA or another province
Minimum of 6 years Mechanical HVAC experience, preferably in the commercial /retail sector
Demonstrated competency in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and other fields in mechanical engineering
Experience implementing sustainable design/LEED®projects
Sound communication skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations
Project Management experience would be considered an asset
LEED®or Certified Energy Manager accreditation would also be considered an asset
