Inflexible with work hours, even when you put in the extra time. Managers in Central Finance are aggressive, bullying and self absorbed. The environment can be hostile; not a progressive work place unfortunately. Pay is moderate, co-workers are great and supportive. If you are looking for a growth opportunity, look elsewhere!
Gas Turbine Repair and Overhaul Technician (Former Employee) – Winnipeg, MB – 14 August 2015
Standardaero was a great place to work and I enjoyed my time there. The people are great and there is a lot of opportunity to learn new things. The job was fun and the management helps you to succeed and grow. Benefits were great and vacation was plentiful. Unfortunately, their weak point is their wages. Could make more working many other places.

Quality Inspector, SCA (Former Employee) – Richmond, BC – 25 September 2014
Great place to work. I was involved in a variety of tasks within the logging industry. Most of the work was hi-lead logging using choker and grapple yarders. Most of the jobs where spent in remote locations at logging camps.
Technician (Former Employee) – Tilburg, NB – 20 December 2013
At StandardAero I was responsible for every phase of engine maintenance. Sometimes investigative and sometimes overhaul. I learned how a gas turbine engine works and the inspection of all components at the detail level. I also repair, balance and built components and the entire engine.
It is a very well maintained facility and a close family working environment, everybody is always willing to help you. It is very team oriented and the hardest part of the job is not being able to learn fast enough and leran new skills. The work environment teaches you to take your time and don't rush, they would prefer you do things right the first time.
atmosphere, benefits and job security...also lots of free lunches
the slow process it takes for you to be able to work by yourself..
