Staff Systems is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator for their client in the academic research and training sector.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: -Partnering with hiring managers and providing full cycle recruitment, including coordinating multiple and complex interview schedules and related travel arrangements -Preparing and reporting on staffing and headcount, and managing the company's participation in the HR Metrics Service through BCHRMA on a quarterly basis -Promoting the understanding of human resources practices and ensuring adherence to accepted policies and principles -Maintaining and updating HRIS, absence tracking spreadsheets, and Employee Handbook -Managing payroll and benefits administration -Providing recommendations for continuous improvements on existing HR programs including on-boarding, training, performance management, culture, and other workplace issues -Assisting in the execution and delivery of HR programs and initiatives, with the ability to independently project manage smaller portions of larger scale projects -Preparing new hire documentation and drafting employment agreements for approval
Qualifications and Requirements: -Certificate/Diploma in Human Resources and 2 yrs work related experience; working towards a CHRP designation is an asset -Good knowledge of employment law and HR policy and process issues -High attention to detail and accuracy along with strong organizational and time management skills -Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times -Superior problem solving and interpersonal skills -Excellent written and verbal communication -Engaging and influential communication style with a focus on relationship building and maintaining a high performing company culture
