Based in Enderby, Splatsin First Nation is seeking a Housing Maintenance Worker for our growing Housing team. Our Housing Maintenance Worker ensures band housing is safe, secure, in good repair and well maintained. This is the right job for you if you are handy with tools, knowledgeable about carpentry, plumbing and building maintenance, and enjoy an active, on-the-go job where you interact with and help people.
On any given day, you could be repairing doors, doing inspections, upgrading lighting, mowing lawns, removing snow, maintaining tools or pitching in on a major project within the community. Every day is different so you’ll never be bored.
If you enjoy people, take pride in a job well done, and love being on the tools and working with your hands, this job might be perfect for you. Chances are you are already the go to person when friends and family need help or advice with their houses, only this job will mean you get paid to do it! Most of the work is in the community, but there is some computer work involved, so you must be able to email and work on a computer. We also need someone who has use of a reliable vehicle with insurance for work and can be available on call for emergencies as required.
