The Graphic Designer produces visual, print and web solutions that communicate promotions, highlights events and resort information to a diverse clientele, using a mix of multi-media tools through creative skills and commercial awareness. Additionally, the Graphic Designer will pre-plan, direct and coordinate marketing activities with Marketing Director using past history and current trends.

Some Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepares artwork design, layout from conception to completion in a format suitable for the desired media
  • Assist in the planning and monitoring of advertising, promotion activities, promotion materials, and schedules
  • Assists in preparing print needs, mailing lists, and general marketing materials
  • Assists in planning public relations programs, trade shows, and the South Beach Casino & Resort’s programs as needed or requested
  • Design & layout projects from concept through production to pre-press
  • Design digital mediums following existing templates and creating new ones
  • Develop and maintain graphics and script for marquee sign
  • Create artwork that meets technical requirements in a format suitable for the desired media
  • Keep up to date on various printing and design options to keep printing costs to a minimum
  • Proof read all content of marketing materials to help ensure accuracy
  • Miscellaneous external and internal design projects as they arise
  • Submit and obtain various quote requests from printing vendors
  • Assist in the planning and monitoring of advertising, promotion activities, promotional materials and schedules
  • Designing website page layouts following existing templates
  • Creating high quality graphics, following existing look and feel
  • Assist in the Marketing department as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Creative thinker that brings past into the present while keeping the customer as the focus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Positive motivating attitude that fosters relationships yet can work independently and with other marketing liaisons
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Post secondary Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design Communications with some hands on experience, ideally over a year, in a multi-facet environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment driven that is deadline driven
  • Expert knowledge of Macintosh OSX Applications
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator
  • Understanding Adobe Flash would be a definite asset
  • Comfortable in standard business software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Pre-press knowledge
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Familiar with Javascript, Email Marketing Campaign Software, and digital multimedia applications

The incumbent must obtain and maintain approval from the Manitoba Gaming Control Commission.
