Position Available:

1 senior purchasing specialist
1 junior purchasing specialist.
For the senior position, we required candidates to have at least 3 years iron ore purchasing experience and have connections with coal and iron ore suppliers. For the junior position, we are looking for talented candidates who are willing to take challenges and have strong potential to develop.

Job Description:

Assist in planning and development of project scheduling with reference to issue dates of requisitions and purchase order placement
For inquiries issued, retrieve vendor bids and performs initial commercial review for short listing of vendors
Obtain supplier technical and commercial clarifications
Prepare, analyze, and negotiate requests for proposals (RFP) with local suppliers for efficient delivery of products and services
Analyze, identify and communicate information regarding purchase orders utilizing out-of-network vendors
Identify, research, and resolve problems relating to purchasing issues
Build a new supplier list and gather information based on product needs
Stay in continuous contact with suppliers; request quotes, information, etc. to determine which supplier is best suited to purchase products
Negotiate with suppliers on price, availability of products, delivery schedules, etc.
Ensure fulfillment of agreed upon terms when delivery occurs


University or college degree in a related business field
Self-motivated and detailed oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of product and service purchasing policies and practices is an asset
Fluent in English, Mandarin, Spanish or Portuguese as second language is an asset
Proven ability to build and maintain network and relationship
Fast learning and adapt to fast pace working environment


$26000 to $60000/year depending on experience
