With SOS, they always had temp to perm positions for me. However, that has changed. The jobs that they assigned me to were always enjoyable and always paid me well. I learned many things when on assignment. I always enjoyed working for them.

Lowes is a good place to work. I'm working P/T and really need a F/T job.
Credit Coordinator / Customer Service (Current Employee), East Patchogue, NYJanuary 14, 2014
Pros: lunch breaks
Cons: work hours get cut, down to just 10 hrs a week.
My job is great. I'm a quick study so I have learned a lot about this postition and much more. Managment is understanding. My co-workers are awesome! I'm P/T and my hours get cut so that's the hardest to deal with. The most enjoyable part of my job is my co-workers. We have an awesome team at the Patchogue location.

Fun workplace
Intern (Former Employee), Amsterdam, NHJanuary 14, 2014
Pros: free lunches
A typical day would be a 9 to 5. Was a relaxed job. No stress. Did a lot of administration work. I learned about managing the time table for the workers. It was a small voluntary organisation so there were not many workers.

They are great people to work with, very kind and caring. I never know whether I will be working or not until later in the day. I never know which shift I will be working. I never know where I will be working until later in the day. There is always something new, it keeps me on my toes.

oil field hand (Former Employee), okc oklahomaDecember 22, 2013
Pros: learning to avoid sos.
Cons: wasted time
I literally had to explain what the staffing agency's role to its employees. I had to work around druggies and in an unsafe environment but the craziest part was when I told sos about it they said,"that is just the oilfield". Then when I told them I was looking for other work, they called it job abandonment and told me I was was ineligible for rehire. – more... I know several people that had the same experience.unreal. – less
