fun place to work, not so fun paycheques
Operations (Former Employee), TorontoOctober 20, 2014
Pros: the people (anyone other than the senior leadership team)
Cons: not as transparent as other companies, very poor compensation
It is a fun place to work and I had good management (my manager and director) otherwise the company as a whole treated sales first and everyone else as second class citizens almost.

they are not upfront with many things, and I have realized that once I have moved to a different company.

people mainly stay because its a fun place to work, otherwise this company treats its employees very badly...thinking that a free lunch and making you stay till 12 am on month ends somehow makes up for the paltry salaries.

Great co-workers and work environment, poor pay
Inside Sales Account Manager (Current Employee), Toronto, ONNovember 20, 2013
Pros: free lunches and breakfasts from time to time
Cons: poor remuneration
The work as an inside account sales manager is challenging. You are the ears of the company and have the most contact with customers, measured on daily customer touch.

Good managers, difficult management model- potential of having multiple manager as an Inside Sales Rep. Directly reporting to Inside Manager but also responsible to Outside Managers.

Good team environment, but could pay better
Inside Sales Account Manager (Former Employee), Toronto, ONSeptember 9, 2013
Pros: you will gain a lot of experience and knowledge about it
Cons: base salary is low and not competitive
Overall, Softchoice is a great place to start your career in sales, but opportunities for advancement from inside sales to outside sales are few and far between. The inside sales account manager position fosters an excellent team environment, both with the inside sales team and outside sales field counterparts. The work environment is laid back and casual in the Toronto office.

Mgmt. Is asleep at the wheel
Sr. Role (Former Employee), Toronto, ONOctober 9, 2012
DMAC the CEO is a great person. From there after the problem starts. The mgmt. seems to be to busy shifting blames and hiding issues under the carpet. Typical white boys club with bunch of Microsoft ex employers still walking around with the same air of arrogance.

Fun place to start with tons of exit opportunities
Corporate Marketing (Former Employee), Toronto, ONJune 19, 2012
Not bad. Fun environment. Great people. Management doesn't like being told that they are wrong. Will often keep adding to your plate with no end. If you want a promotion you basically have to fill the role for a while and hope some one notices. A few incompetent people up the chain
