As the Compensation Advisor reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, you are responsible for providing analysis and support in the development, management and communication of compensation-related policies and processes for salaried and hourly staff.
Working both independently and in conjunction with the Total Rewards team, you will assist in the redesign of compensation structures, gathering and analysis of market data, development of job descriptions, processing of incentive payments and other compensation-related projects.

Develop and revise compensation related policies and processes for salaried and non-union hourly employees.
Ensure the integrity of salary and job-related data in the HRIS. Develop reports to identify compensation issues, compile dashboard reports, and provide information to senior management.
Develop job descriptions, organization charts, job title and pay guidelines by working collaboratively with managers and human resources staff in Canada and the U.S.
Coordinate the annual performance pay and bonus pay processes.
Participate in major projects related to job evaluation, salary banding and pay equity.
Provide compensation information and advice to HR Directors, HR Advisors and Senior Recruiters.
Identify and participate in compensation surveys, including job matching, submission of data, analysis of results and recommendations.
Participate in compensation-related associations and events and maintain professional networks within the compensation community.
Learn, grow, develop
5 - 6 years experience in compensation, salary administration, job evaluation and pay equity is required
Post secondary degree or diploma in human resources
Advanced knowledge of Excel, strong knowledge of Word, Powerpoint and Visio
Strong skills in ADP and HR information systems
Ability to plan projects, coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong data analysis and mathematical skills, attention to detail
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Experience with incentive plans and/or sales commission plans an asset
CHRP or CCP designation in progress
Bilingual (French and English) an asset
Experience in a multi-site unionized organization an asset
