Speech-Language Pathologist:
a. part- time to begin with ability to expand to full time if desired. We receive 2-3 requests per week for speech-language services. There are two possibilities for employment:
i. Sublet of space available in a fully equipped clinic for an experienced S-LP who wishes to develop or expand an existing private practice. The fee of $1000/month covers all running costs such as but not limited to: weekly janitorial services, photocopying including paper, waiting room, staff kitchen, fully equipped sole use therapy room with access to an array of therapy toys and materials.
ii. Consultant position for an S-LP who desires support or mentoring while developing a part-time private practice caseload. Mentoring, materials, administration, invoicing services provided. Consultants are paid monthly at 60% of invoice revenue.
b. Full time continuing opportunity will be available November 2014. The current caseload is predominantly (70%) minimally verbal children and adolescents with severe ASD with a mix of higher functioning children with developmental disabilities and typical speech/language impaired preschoolers waitlisted for public health services.

Skylark is a small, well-equipped, collaborative private clinic in Port Moody. We provide client centred speech-language, occupational and music therapies to a predominantly pediatric population. We currently have 3 S-LP’s, 2 OT’s and a Music Therapist working at the clinic. We are also hoping to expand our services to include a Behaviour Consultant in the near future. Therapist rates range from $105-$150 for a 45 minute session and therapists are encouraged to set their own rates based on experience and ability to work independently. The majority of our clients are on the Autism Spectrum but increasingly we are receiving requests for services for preschool and school age clients who are waitlisted for public services.

You will provide a range of services (predominantly weekly or bi-weekly direct therapy) that focus on promoting communication and contributes to the client’s overall cognitive, social and emotional well-being. You will use your knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic and child development principles to provide evidence-based services to create functional solutions for your clients. You will be willing to give a 2 year commitment to the position as our clients require stability and consistency from their therapists.

Qualifications:
You will be registered with the appropriate regulatory body for your profession (CSHHPBC). Eligibility for registration on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) list is an asset. You must be comfortable working independently.
