Accounts Payable Clerk (Current Employee), Toronto, ONSeptember 28, 2012
full cycle accounts payable. Usually very busy on doing weekly cheque run. My co-workers are very helpful and we support each other. The hardest part of the job is how to efficiently manage limited time to fulfill my job. The most enjoyable part of the job is peaceful environment.

I would reconsider if seeking employment here.
LPN/Charge Nurse (Former Employee), Stevens Point, WIDecember 26, 2013
The elderly SSJ-TOSF are a genuinely wonderful, loving, generous group of women. However, the middle age/younger sisters have merged into their places now and do not care about the staff as the older sisters did. They are more concerned about saving money than how the older sisters, who started the community and made it what it was, are cared for. The – more... staff is continually being cut leaving the individual care they use to have in the past. It has become more of a corporate nursing home than the so-called "Mother House" that it is currently called. The compassion is diminishing and the older sisters have no input at all anymore. I would say that it would be a waste of a good, loving person to seek employment here. It is not what it once was. – less

Enjoyed working with the sisters, became very close to some and really learned a lot from them.
Certified Nurses' Aide (Former Employee), Wichita, KSAugust 8, 2013
Pros: chance for advancement
Cons: health benefits could of been better
A typical day at work is waking the sister's up and getting them ready for breakfast. Once breakfast is over some may go to mass and the others will get their bath. Taking care of the sister's is a lot different than working in a normal nursing home because they are catholic and they attend mass and they do the rosary. The hardest part of my job was – more... when the sister's would pass away, specially the ones that i got close to. The most enjoyable part of my job was knowing that i completed my job duties for the day, and when the sisters are happy, that makes me happy – less

Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee), Stevens Point, WIMay 14, 2013
Pros: very rewarding
Cons: some co-workers can be a challenge to work with.
I have always enjoyed working with the disabled and elderly, I have a lot of compassion and love caring for them. Care taking is in my blood. It don't even feel like a job to me, just a part of life. I find dementia people can sometimes be a challenge, but on the other hand, it can be a fun expieriance
