Key Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum five years experience in a similar role
  • Minimum seven experience as practicing mechanical engineer, including within the consumer products sector
  • Proven ability to manage the UL & CSA product certification process to achieve UL & CSA certification
  • Proven track record in sales, achieving significant year-to-year sales growth
  • Must have proven track record of successfully developing new products for the North American Market

Education: Must have a mechanical engineering degree

Languages: It is desirable that the candidate have the ability to speak fluently both English and Swiss German

Others:

  • Must be available to travel extensively
  • Must have a valid passport

Responsibilities:

Product Development:

  • Study and review market trends and develop new products
  • Introduce new products to the North American market
  • Ensure UL and CSA product certification are achieved for new products.
  • Incorporate new technology trends into product portfolio

Managerial:

  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, executives and sales representatives
  • Lead goal setting with corporate sales staff
  • Train sales representative in technical aspects of the product portfolio
  • Conduct product knowledge presentations with architects, designers and showroom managers and staff

Financial:

  • Create overall corporate budget

Market Development:

  • Continue to grow the export market to United States through the expansion of the bathroom showroom network
  • Continue growth of extra provincial sales via geographic expansion into Ontario, Quebec and the maritime provinces
  • Participate in key industry trade shows

Annual Salary: CAD$100,000
