Logistics Supervisor (Current Employee) – Concord, ON – 17 June 2015
I learned a lot at Sherwood Electromotion; the hardest part of the job was having to negotiate salary. The most enjoyable part of the job was having it feel like play with big tools...like the overhead cranes, 20,000lbs forklift
Do think several times before you make a decision to join

Stores Cooridinator/ QA Inspector (Current Employee) – Concord, ON – 13 June 2016
In the Stores Department we deal a lot with understanding about electrical motors and parts which are used for them. Picking parts, receiving inventory, stock adjustment, reviewing purchase orders, working with purchasing department and accounts department are some of the daily tasks performed in a busy work environment. I deal with inspecting incoming inspections along with internal work orders such as armatures, rotors and stators. Lots of opportunity for over time hours and growth within the company. The company has an enjoyable work setting with lots of great coworkers who are easy to get along with.
Junior machinist (Current Employee) – Concord, ON – 2 May 2016
Never work here or recommendate to anyone.one of HR manager is so dumb and showing that he has technical knowledge but actually he is zero.Just interviewed like to make fun of that guy and want to show candidate that how busy he is.Cheapest company I have ever seen.Better to do labour work than work like this company..A long story to go.....
Disassembly Technician (Former Employee) – Vaughan, ON – 17 October 2015
A typical day there was good, some people are nice and down to earth. you get enough work to complete in a day so it's never too boring and the managers aren't on your back to get the job done, you just get your job to be completed for the day and you complete it or finish it the next day or it'll usually go to the next person. The most enjoyable part of the job is going home to be honest. The pay does suck as they start you off at $13/hr for the type of work you're doing , it should be $16-$18/hr. Just. not enough money to pay bills and help out your family , you're helping out the company more than yourself. The day shift Team lead is a jerk and will insult you. Instead of trying to cope with you and work with you and guide you to being better at the job you're doing. instead they'll just complain and move you around to different departments untill they move you out the door and find someone else. There is a so called work "efficiency" that you wont know about so if you're doing your best at something and it's not good enough to them then they'll just move you. I am not going to write a book about this company even though I probably could but take my word for it or don't take my word for it, its up to you. This company to me and many others, even most people that work there now would tell you there is no future.
some co-workers are nice, day shift ends at 3:00 pm and you learn a lot about Ac/D motorsC
other co-workers complain about little things, Pay sucks. for the work you're doing. $13/hr. NO FUTURE in this company
Working at Sherwood as I learnt a lot . The team environment is very family-oriented. I really like as everyone can collaborate and help each other out and Management is always willing to help you and work with you to achieve your career goals
Job Work/Life Balance
Logistics Supervisor (Former Employee) – Concord – 19 October 2012
Employer will let anyone go no mater how hard working or loyal employee is, in favor of hiring minimun wage canidates. Even though Employer's revenue is in the millions with TTC, Bombardier, CN, and CP contracts.
