The Sales/Catering Coordinator supports the goals and objectives of the Sales & Marketing Department, while providing support to the Director of Sales & Marketing, Sales team and Catering team.


*Responsible for reception area; meeting, greeting and directing walk-in clients.
*Answering calls; qualifying and directing to the appropriate contact person in office.
*Fostering positive relationships with related event planners or organizations.
*Creative design & detail. (Ad design, Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator & Microsoft Publisher, Starwood Archive).
*Assist Director of Sales & Marketing in creating advertising & marketing materials
*Assist Starwood Field Marketing team with website design and hotel descriptions.
*Understand all events and event operations forecast.
*Assist with merging, creating contracts & maintenance of Delphi.
*Participate in any related trade shows when required.
*Assist in the planning and preparation of the annual marketing plan.
*Assist in analysis of the monthly sales achievements through month end reports.
*Distribution and lead submission of Meeting Broker and Team Hot correspondence.
*Promote a positive attitude and team approach to all related job requirements.
*Be aware of the need for strict security regarding the guests and their property, reporting any suspicious incidents to management.
*Be aware of the procedure and precautions regarding fire, health and safety.
*Perform all duties in a safe manner according to established safe work practices.
*Report any accidents, injuries, near misses and/or hazardous conditions.
*Review with associates applicable safety rules/procedures and monitor compliance.
*Other related duties as necessary.


*Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
*Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships.
*Excellent organization, planning and execution skills.
*Ability to manage and direct the schedules of several team members.
*Experience in graphic design and creative ability an asset.
*Working knowledge of GEAC and Delphi an asset.
*Sales, Marketing or Administrative experience an asset.
*Post secondary education or diploma an asset.

Hours of Work:

Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 am - 5:30pm, some flexibility required.
