A good place to start my own experience.
Customer Service and Cashier (Former Employee), 2221 Del Paso Road – September 4, 2012
Pros: lunch for a hours, free soda and coffee
Cons: short breaks
Every day when I got to work, change shift, then having fun to talk to the customas and service them,Keep shop clean and cashier . Learn about how to talk and deal with different people.and know how to manage a store when the manager left, most of my co-workers are Indian.they are so friendy and they teach me a lot when I work.
The hardest part of this – more... job is that I deal a lot of different people, include people that stolen stuff, some time have to clean gasoline. And the most enjoyable part of this job is that beacuse that I`m very good to talk to people,so they would tell me a lot stories of them self, and I got inspire for them,to know how to be a better man. – less

Most enjoyable part of working as a technician is dealing with customers. I really enjoy it.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Windsor, ON – August 29, 2012
Customer service is a very important aspect of a pharmacy technician job. From my experience I have learned that you have to keep your professional attitude all the time and also have to be kind and compassionate to all the customers.

Customer service, Cashier (Former Employee), 251 s flamingo rd miami fl – August 23, 2012
Pros: cheap drinks
Cons: no break
Theres no typical dday here, every day was different the customers are always nice, we did get some rude customers. I learned how to be responsible, how to treat a customer the right way, show them respect. Co-workers were always there to help me since it was my first job, show me the proper way to do something. I enjoyed helping the customers, seeing – more... them leave with a smile on their faces – less

Cashier (Former Employee), Pawtucket, RI – August 14, 2012
Pros: great management and co-worker
Cons: health benefits
A typical day at work at Shell was to clock in at 8 am, make sure that the coolers for the drinks were completely stocked and the rack of cigarettes as well, after stocking the items i would then attend the register to service the customers with there purchases.

I learned new skills including tire repairs, oil changes and vehicle maintenance

My manager – more... was the owner and he was great at handling any employee situation.

My co-workers were great they helped me do my job smoothly and efficient.

There was nothing hard in this particular job, every task was simple and easy

The most enjoyable part of this job was having conversations with the customers at Shell Gas Station – less

Busy workplace, you meet all new people, and its an interesting job in itself.
Cashier (Current Employee), Oxford, MA – July 18, 2012
Pros: meet a wide range of people, busy work, love my co-workers
Cons: no breaks, not enough help, expensive healthcare
A typical day at work for me requires stocking the coolers, vacuuming the rugs, changing the trashes, cleaning the store, ringing up customers, cashing lottery and online lottery tickets. The hardest part of the job is the trashes because they can be very heavy, they can rip and spill all over the place, the bins can tip over. The most enjoyable part – more... for me is the cooler. It gives you a break from the register and you can put your headphones in, blare your music and get to work. My co-workers are the best however its hard finding coverage if your sick, or something suddenly comes up. That can be very frustrating. The management, while not the worst, could definitely use some improvement, I learned how to deal with a wider range of people working here. In a gas station, you never know what your going to get and I love that variety that comes with your day. – less

terrible place to work
Cashier (Former Employee), Ajax, ON – July 9, 2012
Cons: low pay for a dangerous job
I worked the midnight shift in a dangerous city, so you would think that I might get paid a little more for working the overnight. but I got paid the same as everyone $7.25. One night 2 men came to rob me. Luckily I had the door locked. The guys shift I took had been stabbed already so I wasn't taking any chances. I called the manager after it happened – more... and She said I still needed to finish my shift out and then I also had to work the next day. Needless to say I quit that place a week later. – less

Pros: free fountain drinks
Cons: horrible customers
A typical day at work was usually slow during the night shift. I learned how to operate a cash register. My coworkers were all very friendly. The hardest part about the job was working the cash register. The most enjoyable part of the job was during the night, waiting for customers.
