Business Sales/Customer Solutions Specialist (Former Employee) – Kelowna BC – 3 February 2014
Good short time employment. They start off good but once you are trained it's all down hill. It's not what you know but who you know at this company. Good luck with advancement if you are not in with the in crowd.
Hard work good pay but once they think they've milked you dry or they need to make room for someone else they become bullies and spare no mercy.

Great place to work.. for a short time. My supervisor agrees that Shaw does very little to encourage their employees to stick around and as a result has a very high turn over rate. It's a great job if you're an immigrant to Canada, and not trying to pull the race card or anything either but you'd be getting stiffed working here. For all the caucasians and many in the same boat.. you'll hit you pay ceiling, they'll cut bonuses and do anything to make you leave cause you obviously cost them too much as an employee.
Much of the management simply hasn't grown from a man-child like attitude. They're super unappreciative with their staff and metrics are much more important than customer service, and it shows.

I was a TSR for a year and really enjoyed it. Just make sure you work full time for this company if not it'll be a little difficult. You get amazing benefits from day one, and the work environment is really fun

typical day of work is talking to customers from difference provinces and helping out the service issues or scheduling out technicians to be dispatched to assist customer. hardest part of the job is that you have to have a lot of patience and understanding.
Customer Advisor (Current Employee) – Victoria, BC – 21 September 2017
I have worked in worse places. The call center is a hard job to deal with at times with high call volumes. The benefits are amazing and the people you get to work with on a s day to day basis are great.

Not an enjoyable place to work at. They time your bathroom breaks and they like to call it wrap up time which is time you use for the bathroom and for notes to put in accounts. Therefore they want an average of 3 mins which you only have 1 minute to use the bathroom and rest is to type notes and walk to the bathroom. Vacation time sucks because there is too any people in the department and it will be difficult for you to get time you want. People there just go and do their job they don't socialize or talk to anyone really. If your looking for a friendly cultured job this is not the place you want to work at. The turnover is huge that is why their always hiring for managers.

Worked as a CSR at Shaw for about 1 year, I loved working there. Managers are cool, training is great you get properly trained and prepared for the job. Customer's can get angry/annoying but you have to have a lot of patience on this job otherwise you'll get into an argument everyday.
