Sharek&Co. is a downtown Edmonton law firm and we have an immediate opening for an experienced assistant to provide support to our Litigation team. Primary functions of the position would include preparing Affidavits of Records, including document review, coding and scanning into Summation; preparing for Questioning, including creating witness and subject briefing binders; dealing with transcripts, including conducting searches, summarizing transcripts and answers to undertakings; preparing Bills of Costs; preparing and updating pleading, transcripts and trial binders and communicating with opposing counsel and clients as required. General legal assistant duties and clerical tasks will also be performed.
Along with a minimum of three years’ of litigation experience, the successful applicant must be highly organized, focused and attentive to detail; have a great attitude, and a willingness to learn, work hard and grow. Working knowledge of PCLaw and Summation software is preferred.
