SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Junior to intermediate level candidate with design experience in SolidWorks. Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes. Above average communication, interpersonal, trouble shooting and problem solving skills. Ability to travel internationally.
Education: Post secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related engineering discipline.
Certificates: Preference given to candidates possessing trades certification as a machinist, millwright or industrial mechanic.
Experience: 2-5 years related experience
Works with Design Manager to maintain and develop Septimatech’s product line. Liaises with external customer and internal departments to ensure all designs meet specifications and requirements. Ensures schedules are met and takes initiatives to improve and increase department thruput and quality. Responsible for ensuring customer needs are met thru travel to the customer site, assisting staff with projects, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving any issues as they develop. Ability to accurately measure equipment and obtain and organize information. Provides technical direction as required and may be required to assist with installations and/or train installers. Manages project from concept thru to successful execution and completion. Writes reports and presentations. Collects, provides and conveys information to ensure successful project execution and completion.
