Position Summary:

  • Assortment management and accuracy
  • Definition of strategies with Merchant for Canada and Quebec (2 separate entities)
  • Representative of Canadian Merchant and Sephora with DSD brands in the absence of Merchant
  • Coordination between Canadian and US Merchandising teams in order to ensure that Canadian and Quebec strategies are being understood and followed

Position Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up of Health Canada regulations and product registration process to aid in the management of new product registration (Quebec and Canada) in order to determine compliance
  • French translation and creation of SKUs for Quebec (saleable and testers)
  • Interact and communicate with all vendors on Canadian, Quebec, and US initiatives in the following areas: RTVs, Homeless, Damages and Tester collection
  • Management and maintenance of DSD brands (SKU requirements, SKU authorization to doors)
  • Management of all assortments (Quebec and Canada) in SpaceMAN (with guidance and input of merchant)
  • Contact US Merchandising Assistants for US and CAD retail prices for US managed brands
  • Ensure accurate assortments for Canada and Quebec are posted on Stores Intranet, including follow-up with DSD vendors
  • Maintenance of the Canadian and Quebec animation assortment (with input and guidance of Merchant for DSD brands and non-DSD brands) and communicating with other Assistant Buyers to determine suitable replacements for non-DSD brands
  • Set and maintain appropriate retail prices for Canadian stores (as directed by Canada Merchant)
  • Distribution on MCS reports (CAD best sellers, active CAD skus and retails, monthly sales reports for top 5 brands per world)

Requirements:

  • Fluently bilingual in both French and English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of Canadian and Quebec marketplace and corresponding vendor organization
  • Knowledge of Canadian cosmetic industry and corresponding Health Canada regulations and requirements for product compliancy both in Canada and Quebec
  • Strong organizational and time management skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong capacity for numerical analysis
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong reactive ability and capacity to work under pressure
  • Excellent technical capacity in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Capacity for working with technical merchandising and inventory management systems (SpaceMAN, SAM, E3)
  • Flexible and a team player
