Provide business leaders across the organization with timely and accurate information on consumer behaviours, attitudes and preferences, the external environment in which Sears Canada operates and economic conditions affecting Canadian retail and the financial market place. The Senior Marketing Analyst, supports and counsels on appropriate use of the information to assist business leaders in decision making and developing long-term strategic plans.
Deriver insights from Ad hoc analysis, through the querying of databases, to answer questions from internal business clients. Based on derived insights provide analysis and make recommendations to the business to aid leaders in determining future strategic plans for targeted marketing.
Provide analysis based on business requests on the performance of marketing campaigns (direct and mass)
Provide analysis based on requests on customer profiles, customer probability, and customer segmentation.
Complete time series analysis on customer behaviour change based on transactional data.
Work in compliance with all laws and regulations and attend or complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents and take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others and perform other duties as required.
Provide query transaction and customer level databases and other data sources with the use of analytic anddata manipulation software. Use queried databases to formulate recommendations on marketing strategies.
Manage and execute complex analytical data requirements
Develop presentations on ad-hoc projects to Senior Leadership
Desired Skills & Experience
Graduate degree Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a Marketing/Data Analytics capacity
Proven experience managing and executing on complex analytical data requirement
Exposure to A/B testing experimental designs
Exposure developing: Stimulus-Reponse Models/ Retention Models ( Survival Analysis Methodology) AND CHAID decision tree tecnique
Exposure applying statistics methodology and research methods (asset)
Programming Software/Data base experience:
SQL/SAS,Netezza SQ,SAS STAT
Superior communication skills verbal and written
Internal Servicing role – demonstrated ability to manage internal client expectations and deliverables
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced direct marketing environment (campaigns test/controls, etc)
Demonstrated skills in applying statistics methodology and research methods (asset)
