We are currently recruiting for a PACKAGING SALES PROFESSIONAL to join our British Columbia team and provide sales representation in the Packaging segment for Vancouver:

Location: Lower Mainland

Reports To: Sales Manager, Packaging

Profile: We are seeking an aggressive Sales Professional who loves to compete and who sets high personal standards for performance. You are resourceful, independent and creative with a proven track record of growing new business. You are seeking a long term commitment with the opportunity for excellent financial rewards.

PRIMARY DUTIES include:

  • Growing and developing a base portfolio of customers
  • Increasing sales volume to our existing customers by providing professional sales support while identifying new opportunities and introducing new products:

o Developing and executing a call plan,
o Performing business reviews,
o Maintaining a full sales hopper,
o New product introduction, and
o Execution of regional and national programs

  • Developing new customers:

o You will dedicate substantial time and effort around identifying and securing new customers through:
 Developing target accounts and growth strategies,
 Specific needs analysis and
 New product introductions

  • Developing strong relationships with internal and external customers and service providers
  • Providing input on best practices, policies and procedures with respect to the sales department and other service providers
  • Innovating to meet sales objectives
  • Participate as a member of a highly productive and cohesive team
  • Managing your territory through the effective administration of policies and procedures and required documentation

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS for success:

  • A competitive nature with an established track record of demonstrating above- average performance selling skills
  • Posess strong market awareness
  • Demonstrated track record in achieving sales targets within specific criteria, constraints and time limits
  • Ability to interact effectively with a large number of internal and external customers, showing flexibility in meeting their individual needs
  • Above average verbal, written and presentation skills, in English
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft office. Experience with SalesForce.com an asset
  • A vehicle and valid driver’s license is required
  • Post-secondary education in sales/ marketing with a minimum of 3-5 years business to business selling experience preferred, or equivalent experience.

Compensation:

Base: $70K, $1000/mo CA, benefits, approx 20% commission
