The successful candidate must meet the following:

Minimum of 5 years sales experience.
Post secondary education preferred.
A person capable of creating relationships yet aggressive enough to close the sale.
An organized attention to detail person with good math skills and spatial aptitude.
An ability to manage an account base of 600 or more customers.
Proven track record of developing new business (prospecting) while servicing a large account base. Computer literate with database management skills. (Goldmine)

Compensation:
$50K, $500/mo CA, gas card, 1 % commission on all quotes

Job Description industrial sales representative:

Business development through catelogue sales
Weekly routine of calling existing clients in data base.
Expanding opportunities within existing accounts.
Asking for referrals upon completion of calls.
Be a resource to your client.
Identify and develop your own strategic partners.

Responsibilities:

Call database on schedule every week. (Goldmine)
Keep client database up to date. (Goldmine)
Keep forecasted sales up to date. (Goldmine)
Work up material lists and price out.
Write up quotations and proposals from templates in database.
Write up orders accurately with all required information.
Follow up with client upon project completion.
Assist credit department in getting credit information for new accounts.
