Technician
Technician III/ Technical Support/ Manufacturing (Former Employee), Bloomington, Mn – July 21, 2012
Pros: work life balance
Cons: poor semiconductor business
Seagate is the best place I have ever worked. The pay is compatible, bennefits are excellent, and the work life balance at this company is fabulous. They have family activities every year. I worked there for 25 year. The only draw back is the insecurity of the semiconductor business in general.

Great opportunity for a career
MACHINERY OPERATOR (Former Employee), Bloomington, MN – July 11, 2012
Pros: time and a half, over time, paid holidays, vacation, job security
Cons: 12 hour shift, on your feet 12 hours a day, repetitive work.
I was not happy with the whole 12 hour shift, clean room, repitetive work. If you are a person looking for a set career with lots and lots of benefits such as (time and a half) this is the job for you. Factory work.

ExSeagateEmployee – July 12, 2012

This is very true. Seagate has no bones about using the workforce and laying off when the need is done. If you can rub the right elbows, and feed the right person's ego, you can manage. They will offer higher pay, and then hold you hostage.

Pros: working with professional people.
Typical day at work was from 7:30 to 5:30.
Got to keep up to date with new technology.
Co-workers were good people and fun to work with. There was a lot of expertise with everyone I worked with.

Good and Bad
Staff Engineer, Memory Products Group (Former Employee), Bloomington, MN – May 23, 2012
Pros: pay, benefits, challenging work

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENATIVE (Former Employee), Oklahoma City, OK – May 6, 2012
Pros: free hard drives and cups
Cons: micromanaged
My review for this company goes two ways. I worked there for almost 5 years. In those 5 years, I was part of technical support, Customer Service Level 2, which is escalated warranty replacements, and I was also part of the beta testing team. We tested the products before they were released.

However, I am also unhappy with some of the ways that they – more... handle employee complaints. – less

beno – April 16, 2012

I have submitted my resume for several weeks, and no response from them at all. I have more experience and skill sets than the job posting required, but the toughest part in all job search is to the prospective employers to pay attention to your resume. I did everything they have taught to make the resume stands out. If I can get some tips from the previous employees of how Seagate's hiring process works, and perhaps the hiring manager's name would be very helpful. The hiring manager's name and contact info for the Sr. Collection Specialist position is what I am looking for. Thank you.
