The relationships with the co-workers
Quality Control Inspector (Former Employee), Seneca, SCJanuary 29, 2014
Checking MCC's setting up drives. The co-workers were real helpful and always willing to help you learn. It was hard to Know when quiting time was because you may have to work over on any given day and the management would not let you know till the last minute and that was fine on most days i was looking for overtime but it always seem to fall when – more... i had something planned. – less

Too big for it's own good
Quality Assurance Engineer (Current Employee), West Kingston, RIJanuary 23, 2014
Cons: s is too big for it's own good. people are numbers and that does not create a good work environment
Worked for a company that was bought out by Schneider. Before =S= took over the focus was on customers, quality and the view was from management down to their teams. i.e keep the teams motivated and happy.

Since =S= bought my company out they have let a lot of talented, hardworking people go and the focus is now from management up. i.e keep my VP, – more... Sr. VP groups happy at the cost of my team starting to fall apart and create a toxic work environment for them. Customer focus and quality have fallen away off due to cost cutting, and cutting out people who knew what they were doing and people who were very customer focused. – less

From the Warehouse perspective there is a lot to be desired. Normally people are hired as temps, and despite job performance, the new people are the first to go.

Excellent industry leader who gives you the tools to succeed.
Project Manager (Former Employee), Hawthorne, NYJanuary 16, 2014
Pros: career advancement, beautiful building to work in. support staff.
Cons: infrquent salary increases.
My typical day at work was working directly with my client (New York State Department of Transportation) on various established tasks with the goal of completing these tasks within a predetermined timeframe. I took several things away from this job, first and foremost though was taking away the satisfaction you get when you lead a successful effort – more... while pulling together multiple agencies to complete a common goal. I served as a liaison between management from Schneider Electric and my client. My experience with both management teams was a very positive one. Both sets of management afforded me the opportunity to learn and advance my career and knowledge. My co-workers were the group of people that allowed me to be as successful as I have been. One of my main responsibilities of my job was to create a team environment within many agencies. I would not have been successful had it not been for the dedication and vision of my staff and management support team. The most challenging part of my job was to walk the fine line between company and client. It was a part of the job I succeeded with, but always had to be conscious of. The most enjoyable part of my job was the people. An excellent group of professionals with a common goal to succeed. – less

Poor management, low pay, great area
Technical Support Engineer (Former Employee), Costa Mesa, CAJanuary 15, 2014
Pros: great location, co-workers
Cons: pay, management team
Overall a very poor experience. Managed poorly, low pay, job was talked up to be much more than it was.

- Typical day was answering phone calls
- Learned about APC's product line
- Management was terrible
- Hardest part of the job was making it through the day
- Enjoyed co-workers

Schnieder Electric had a great oportunity for growth and had great benefits
Assembler and Machine Operator (Former Employee), North Andover, MAJanuary 4, 2014
Pros: job security
Cons: the industry was beginning to outsourse
Typically each team would have a meeting before the shift began to discuss the expectations for the day. I learned an incredible amount about electronics. The management was very informative and my co-workers were very hard working. The hardest part of the job was the occasional down time when we ran out of parts or hardware. The best two parts of the – more... job were the exceptional benefits and a great opportunity for growth, including schooling. – less

Intern (Former Employee), TNJanuary 2, 2014
Pros: great work environment
Cons: confusing corporate structure
I only worked at Schneider Electric in an intern capacity and was unfortunately not able to stay on full time after graduation due to unforseen budget changes, but in my time there I realized that the company's goal is to thrive by attracting bright people with great work conditions. There is a very strong emphasis on education. They also make great – more... strides to stay up to date with the latest technologies – less
