Purpose: We are provincially certified Meat processing plant and are looking for a HACCP /QC Coordinator to take the lead in processing our Application for Federal certification; to implement and manage FSEP& HACCP protocols, develop, implement and maintain our Quality Control Program

Reports to: General Manager, Office manager, Controller


FSEP & HACCP Program
- FSEP and HACCP program development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance
-Collect, review and file daily documents
-Conduct/arrange for necessary testing and calibrations
-Conduct Mock Recalls as required
-Work with inspection and related items eg Corrective Action Reports and audits

Research and Development
-Initiate and coordinate projects (Set goals, deadlines and schedules, reformulate, prepare documentation, arrange for sampling/testing/packaging, labeling etc)
-Conclude trials - gather and review all documentation, prepare final report and recommend future action
-Conduct research into new/improved products and processes
-Ensure time logs and reports are kept up to date
-Liaise with consultants

Quality Control
-Continue to develop and implement quality control programs to improve the quality and safety of our products
-Determine root causes of deficiencies and deviations and recommend corrective action
-Investigate all product non compliance and recommend corrective/preventative action

-College or University graduate in Food Science or related field
-Minimum three years HACCP/quality control food related experience.
-Experience in a federal meat processing plant an asset
-Attention to detail critical
-Excellent written and verbal command of English
