Global leading company with innovation, but difficulties in personal life
Senior Manager (Strategic Marketing Team) (Former Employee), SUWON, South Korea HQNovember 30, 2014
Pros: advanced system, leading concept, marketing capability
Cons: no personal life with family, not easy to have vacation even
Global leading company with advanced system and motivation system, but it was very difficult to be balanced with company work and personal life by too busy work things.
It was good chance to know advance IT system as well as global network and innovative ideas to breakthrough all the times and experienced tough competition in global market in electronics,
but – more... hard to make free time for family and personal refreshment.

But it was good to experience it. – less

Market Manager (Current Employee), RemoteNovember 25, 2014
Pros: constantly innovating, very big company for potential growth
Cons: work/life balance, not enough support
A typical day at work consists of visiting stores to build relationships and work with and train staff to drive sales while performing daily operational tasks. I have learned how to work on multiple projects at once and deliver by timelines. Management are very result driven. Co-workers are all talented and great to work with. Co-workers are very supportive – more... and always willing to pitch in and help out for the common goal. The hardest part of the job is trying to have a work life balance when there are always deadlines. It is hard to take an actual day off because work is always coming in and sometimes expected. Working with the team and seeing success happen. – less

Help Desk Tech (Current Employee), Greenville, SCNovember 24, 2014
Easy and pretty laid back. Gets bad when someone accuses you of not doing something on time even thought you did it. Im only a contractor hoping to get a better position but if you want to learn and grow then it is a good job.

INSPECTOR (Current Employee), Plano, TexasNovember 20, 2014
Pros: work with great people. good pay. you get to touch the latest phone modles
Cons: can be a bit stressful
A typical work week is 40+ hours, from 7A.M. to 7P.M. and some overtime Saturday. We inspect anywhere from 200 to 500 phones a week, depending on the work load of the week. It is an easy job if your follow the instructions and do your work correctly. This job is not for eveybody, it required patients and takes time to develop the skills to correctly – more... and accurately inspect phones and other devices. The people are great and down to earth, sometimes they may seem stressed out but no more then anyother job. – less

Innovative game changer in the telecommunications space
District Sales Manager (Former Employee), MidwestNovember 2, 2014
Pros: many. technology that samsung produced, insurance, benefits, compensation package
Cons: leadership team disconnected from challenges in the field, no sense of developing mid level management. big company just a number to leadership
Typical Day as a District Sales Manager consisted of data analysis, employee review, in field Ride alongs to develop my team of sales individuals. Lead team conference calls to review carrier partner playbooks, review best practices, coaching, sales techniques, Samsung territory data on a territory by territory basis. Approve District and territory – more... budgets, travel and expense reporting. Work closely with Carrier partners to develop sales programs and training opportunities. Kept in close communication with other DSM's in our North Central Region (5 DSMs) in which we shared overlap of districts that aligned with carrier partners. The most difficult part of the job was the work/life balance. In our industry, you are required to stay on top of every minute of the day and requires an enormous amount of organization and planning. Always adjusting to fit the multiple carrier models that we support. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people and connections I worked with. Samsung employed only the most professional people they could find. – less
