Great learning experience , Great environment , Fun coworkers
Software Engineer (Former Employee), Bellevue, WA – January 9, 2013
Pros: everything except the location
Cons: too far from home
Came into work at 4pm and had a met with my team mates to see if there are any pressing issues that I will have to work on during my night shift. After that I would begin to look in the issues that my coworkers mentioned or any new issues that came up during my shift. If there was a no issues to work on or I was forced to wait for feedback from another – more... team to continue with resolving an issue , I would work on another project that I volunteered to do.a client side application to an automation Android app created by Samsung.
My coworkers at Samsung were like my family in Washington. We teased each other many times and I felt really close to many of them. Some of them weren't even part of my team but I feel as if I left a great impression on all of them.
The management at Samsung was very inspirational. Every time i went in to talk to them about an issue I had or anything like that i left their office feeling inspired to do a better job than ever before.
The best part about the job was the independence. Working the night shift was kind of lonesome , with only a handful of fellow employees staying in after 8pm-12am but it also gave me a great sense of independence.
The hardest part for me was leaving Samsung. It felt like I was leaving my new found family for my real family, but it is something that had to be done considering the circumstances with my family. – less

A typical Korean company who is pursuing global culture
Senior Manager, Media Solution Center China (Former Employee), Beijing, China – August 22, 2013
Samsung is a typical Korean company with strict regulations, but pursuing global perspective, culture and management. I could feel passion here every day. I had excellent co-workers. I really learned very much within one and half years.
Senior Manager (Current Employee), Mississauga, ON – April 16, 2013
Pros: free parking
Cons: extremly long hours
Samsung is a company that is growing at a tremendous pace. Consequently, the infrastructure is challenged to adapt. The pace is extremely fast paced, and it is essentially to be able to switch gears and adjust to the crisis of the moment. I have learned the nuances of the consumer electronics business and the challenges of continuing to grow in a viciously – more... competitive market. I have been privileged to lead a great team, and to help them grow in their career development. – less

Pros: free fruits
Cons: long hours
I had a very busy schedule almost everyday. I learned about latest technology & market trends. The management were very goal oriented. There were polite & highly educated co-workers. It was hard to work for long hours in the most weekends. I enjoyed office fun gatherings and training tours.
