Reporting to the Occupation Health & Safety Director, the Manager of Occupational Health Services is responsible for providing leadership and entrepreneurship in support of the vision, mission and values of Safe-Tee Management. As the principal leader for occupational health and safety, the Manager is responsible for assessing, planning, developing, directing, coordinating, marketing and evaluating the effectiveness of the programs as it pertains to our clients. The Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders (clients). The Manager will be responsible for developing and following through on new leads, developing and delivering proposals for occupational health services and assist the Director in the growth and development of the Occupational Health and Medical Services.
The Manager will also be responsible for performing:
- Employee medicals
- Drug & Alcohol testing
- Fit Testing
- Workers Compensation management
- Medic Duties as required
- Other medical duties
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Nursing supplemented with a recognized certificate in Occupational Health Nursing required. A combination of education and experience will be considered. An emergency background is desirable.
At least Five (5) years’ experience in OH&S required.
Registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Registered Nurses.
Demonstrated understanding of WCB claims management required.
Must have strong interpersonal and leadership abilities and be client focused, utilizing innovative and creative solutions.
Advanced knowledge of occupational health and safety in the workplace, including current trends and issues, applicable legislation, regulation and codes.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Must be outgoing, entrepreneurial, with a passion to succeed.
Strong oral and written skills are required.
