Quality Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining of the Gauge calibration system and program
  • PPAP preparation, as well as organizing the PPAP archives
  • Revalidation of product
  • Capability studies as required
  • Generate work instructions for process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Hold area disposition, sort/rework instructions, operator/inspector orientation
  • Auditing – dock audits, layered audits, system audits
  • Receiving inspection
  • Service daily production quality issues as they arise on the shop floor
  • Assist in C.A.R. program – team member; tracking
  • Assist in working with customer and supplier representatives on quality issues as required
  • Operation of the CMM
  • Assist in the administration of the SCAR system

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to have:

  • Grade 12 diploma with a post secondary education in manufacturing quality assurance (CQE; CTE) an asset
  • Experience in manufacturing Quality Assurance
  • Basic knowledge of TS-16949
  • Strong metrology skills
  • Efficient in Microsoft office
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Strong organizational skills

Successful candidate must be available for both days and afternoons shift

This is a full-time permanent position with a salary range from $35,000 - $45,000 per annum depending on experience
