NAV CENTRE is an exceptional, multi-function complex capable of accommodating a variety of groups of all sizes with more than 55,000 square feet of meeting space, a main dining room, a pub, café, fitness center, spa and a 551 room hotel situated on 70 acres in Cornwall, Ontario along the scenic St. Lawrence River.

As a Sous-chef for one our corporate clients you will be responsible for quality, creative and efficient food production for large venues. Also, completion of daily product ordering and inventory control. Actively involved in health & safety and human resources protocol, which includes daily control reporting (HCCP), scheduling and management of line staff.

Learn, Grow, Develop
Post secondary education in culinary arts
Red Seal certification
3+ years of experience in similar role (able to produce for large venues)
Experience in kitchen management
Proven track record for staff management in a unionized environment - preferred
Flexibility to respect a varying schedule based on business volume
Must be available evenings and weekends
Confident working with minimal supervision
Maintain high standards while adhering to policies and procedures
Friendly, outgoing, customer service oriented, with impeccable client relation skills
Effective oral and written communication skills in English and French would be an asset
Familiarity with scheduling and inventories
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
Effective planning, organizing, and time management skills
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a diverse team
Desire to exceed customer expectations
