Commissioned sales position responsible to proactively approach potential new and past customers with the intent to sell in support of the achievement of daily sales targets. Determine customer requirements and successfully recommend SHS Services Management’s installed products and services to meet customer’s needs. Provide customers with solutions to their home services projects, challenges, and possibilities. Self-generate leads, follow up on sold leads, and maintain overall a high level of customer service and engagement.
Meet and / or exceed sales budget, Gross Profit / Margin and close ratio targets for products/services company offers, leveraging company programs
Ensure pricing of products and services to the customer are within company guidelines.
Provide a high standard of customer service during and after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction to ensure future leads may be generated. Advocate on the customer’s behalf any concerns or issue with the sale and installation of SHS Services Management product, and assist in the resolution of any customer issues as required.
Ensure leads are managed within company sales cycle standards, utilizing our lead management software
With leads provided, engage each customer with the intent to generate sales and future leads.
Prospect and self-generate sales leads through in store or neighborhood canvassing, and previous customer files.
Attend team meetings, product knowledge and all other training seminars. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and selling skills. Keep abreast of new product launches, trends, advancements, competitive activities, etc. Share key product knowledge and promotional issues related to main lines of responsibility with peers to increase sales opportunities within the department. Organize, promote, implement and participate in activities and special events to generate sales.
Work effectively cross functionally across sales and operations departments
Qualifications & Competencies:
Secondary School graduation
Preferred Apprenticeship program or specialized training in Business administration, marketing, retail, or comparable facilitated education in sales & marketing
Sales experience, direct selling experience for big ticket items, and preferably in-home sales and/or commission-based sales for at least six (6) months
Demonstrated excellence in selling, customer service and presentation skills
Knowledge of home installation business operations, policies and processes is an asset
Self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently without supervision, and effective territory and time management skills.
Hunter mentality, ability to seek out new business, self generate new leads
