A challenging opportunity exists in Fort Saskatchewan for a Journeyman Instrument Mechanic.
Profile: Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, the Instrument Mechanic will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of equipment/machinery in the Nickel, Cobalt and Fertilizer Plants. This position will involve working with pneumatic/electronic smart instruments and process analyzers, rebuilding and overhauling control valves, working with various DCS systems, problem solving and troubleshooting process programs, and Preventative Maintenance.
Candidates must hold a Journeyman Instrument Mechanic Certification and Interprovincial Red Seal
5 years industrial experience
Experience with Distributed Control Systems (ABB-Bailey, Rosemount RS3 and Delta V and ABB Advent)
Demonstrated experience working with Electronic instrumentation and valve repairs are considered an asset
Ability to work regular/periodic shift work and call outs
Safety conscious attitude
Ability to work in a team environment
