A challenging opportunity exists in Fort Saskatchewan for a Journeyman Electrician.

Profile: Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, the Electrician will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of equipment/machinery in the Nickel, Cobalt and Fertilizer Plants and may require regular or periodic shift-work. This position will involve working with electrical schematics and drawings, problem solving and troubleshooting electrical equipment, understanding of 600v and 5KV electrical systems, knowledge of VFD’s, PLC’s PM Routes and Preventative Maintenance.

Qualifications:

 Candidates must hold Journeyman Electrician Certification, and Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate.
 5 years industrial experience
 Ability to work regular/periodic shift work and call outs
 Technical/mechanical aptitude
 Safety conscious attitude
 Ability to work in a team environment
